How do I reset the base unit back to factory default settings?

Power down the base unit.
Press and hold down the paging key on the base station.
Plug in the power-supply unit.
Keep the paging key on the base station pressed for 7 seconds.

This will have the following effect on the system

The entire contents of the memory will be deleted.
All portable handsets will no longer be registered to the base.
The system code will be reset to 0000.

GAP registration process for GAP compliant handsets

You can register any handset that has GAP functionality. To achieve this you need to complete the following process.

On the handset

Handset Register H/Set

Select base station, e.g. Base 1 and press .

Enter the system PIN of the base station and press . Please pay attention that the default PIN depends in what a manufacturer stores in his base stations. Usually you can try with 0000. For further informations please look into the user manual of the base station. Now you will see, e.g. Base 1.

On the base station

Press and hold the registration/paging key on the base station (approx. 3 seconds).
