How Do I enable the voicemail recording feature on
the AT-530?
The AT-530 provides a recording feature. With this function, the user
may record three VoIP messages and one local message.
Activate answering machine:
Select “Enable Voice Record” to activate the answering machine, and
configure the No Answer Time box to an appropriate value (e.g. 20
seconds). If there is an incoming call and no one answers the call
within the no answer time limit, then the AT-530 will auto answer
the call and ask that the caller leave a message.
Incoming Record Playing:
Plays the message recorded.
User-Defined Voice:
User can customizes the greeting voice for answering machine.
Note: The AT-530 supports a three message maximum, each message can be a
maximum of 90 seconds. The answering service will be deactivated if the
total messages stored reaches 3.
Record local message:
User may use local message to leave a message to other local users.
What is a Digit map file and how can it help me
control the way my phone dials?
A Digit map is a set of rules that determines when the user has
finished dialing. The AT-530/AG-188 supports the following digital map:
Digital Maps are rules that help the phone to judge when the user
ends dialing and sends the inputted number to the server. The AG-188
supports the following categories within its digital map:
----End With “#” -- Uses # character as the end of dialing.
----Fixed Length -- When the length of the numbers dialed
matches the number of characters, the call will be sent.
----Timeout -- Specify the timeout of the
last dial digit. The call will be sent after timeout value has been
exceeded
----Prefix: User define digital map:
[ ] represents the range of digit, this can be a range e.g. [1-4], or
use comma’s e.g. [1,3,5], or use a list e.g. [234]
x represents any one digit between 0~9
Tn represents the last digit timeout. n represents the time and can
have a value between 0~9 second. Tn must be the last two digits in the
entry. If Tn is not included in the entry, we use T0 as default, this
means the system will send the number immediately if the number matches
the entry.
Example:
[1-8]xxx All number from 1000 to 89999 will be sent immediately.
9xxxxxxx 8 digits numbers that begin with 9 will be sent immediately.
911 Number 911 will be sent will be immediately
99xT4 3 digits numbers begin with 99

then connect your landline to port labelled “Line”.
You can now receive incoming PSTN and VoIP calls.
To place the PSTN call, you need to configure the AG-188 as
follows:
----Add a new dial rule in the Dial-Peer web page - set the phone
number to *T, and select the Lifeline as the Call mode.

How do I perform an unattended transfer to a third
party
An unattended transfer can be conducted as follows:
A is the AT-530 user and they receive an incoming call from B
A wishes to transfer B to talk to another colleague C
To accomplish this, A presses FWD button to hold the call with B and
then enters C's number (sometimes requires an # at the end of the number
to force the call)
A can press the FWD button to hold the call with B, and then enters
C's number. B will is now transferred to C and can continue their
conversation.

How do I perform an attended transfer when using IAX
protocol?
The AT-530/AG-188 only has native support for the attended transfer
of
calls whilst using the SIP protocol. If you are using IAX with the
AT-530/AG-188, then you need to use Asterisk/Trixbox's attended
transfer
feature.
You can achieve this as follows:
First you need to add the following line to your
/etc/asterisk/features.conf file atxfer= *2 ;attended transfer
Restart asterisk
In the following scenario B and C have internal Asterisk phone
extension using AT-530's. A is a third party company dialling externally
using the PSTN.
A calls B and asks to be transferred to C
B dials *2# and then inputs the extension number for C
C's phone will now ring, When C's picks up the receiver, B will be
disconnected and A and C can start their conversation.
